Every day, our skin is exposed to damaging UV rays which can lead to signs of premature aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. Chemical peels have the power to significantly reduce these signs and can be tailored specifically for you based on individual concerns.
Maintaining healthy, vibrant skin begins with exfoliation treatments that gently lift away dead, dull cells that trap oil, dirt and bacteria on your face. Exfoliation treatments are essential in achieving beautiful, clear and even-toned skin.
Chemical peels not only reduce the visible signs of sun damage, but they also improve skin tone and texture by smoothing rough or uneven patches. Furthermore, they may lighten age spots as well as diminish acne scars for a more even tone.
Chemical peels can also reduce the risk of developing certain skin cancers, such as actinic keratosis (an overgrowth of skin that typically is harmless but may become precancerous). They may be employed to treat hyperpigmentation and other discolorations caused by sunlight or natural aging processes.
These advantages are just some of the many reasons why people of all ages and ethnicities are turning to chemical peels and derma peels for skin rejuvenation. At Timeless at Tiffany’s Medspa, we offer a variety of different peels that can address various concerns while giving you an amazing glow.
Our Perfect Derma Peel is the ideal treatment for patients with various skin issues such as texture irregularities, acne scarring and fine lines. This deep chemical solution penetrates multiple layers of your skin to stimulate collagen production, lighten discoloration and even out the texture.
We utilize a combination of acids and products to safely and gently lift away dead, damaged layers from your skin, revealing a healthier, radiant complexion. We can even create custom peels tailored towards specific concerns; together, we’ll strive for optimal results!
Before your peel, we kindly request that you refrain from using any retinoids (such as tretinoin) one to two weeks prior to the procedure. Furthermore, avoid waxing, epilating and depilatory hair removal products the week prior to your appointment.
At your appointment, we will cleanse and prepare your skin for chemical solution application. Afterward, we’ll rinse away the solution with a neutralizing rinse and apply cooling compresses to reduce any discomfort.
Your skin may feel red and swollen for several days after the peel. Your doctor will give you instructions on how to take care of your skin afterwards.
When going outdoors, be sure to wear sunscreen and use a mild moisturizer on your skin during the healing process. Furthermore, avoid picking or rubbing at your skin as this could lead to infection.
Your doctor is likely to prescribe antiviral medication on a regular basis during the recovery period, as well as antibiotics to prevent infections from arising. We also suggest keeping ice packs on your face during this time; the cold will help ease any pain or discomfort you may be feeling.
